Tried Tuesday: Lush Bubblegum Lip Scrub

bubblegum-thThere are some products that I don’t use too often, but know are always there for me when I need them. For example, my lips are usually quite good, but, when they are in need of a little extra TLC, I turn to this little pot of goodness that Amy from Red Lips;Red Hair turned me on to, in the form of the Bubblegum Lip Scrub from Lush.

The ingredient list for this scrub is pleasantly simple, primarily being made from castor sugar, with added organic jojoba oil. There is also methyl ionone, flavour and colour, obviously to give it the distinctive pink hue and bubblegum candy flossy flavour. There is also no preservative in the mix, so it is not going to last forever, but you are going to want to use it too often, or just eat it with a spoon, so that is not going to be a problem.

Fluffed up, you can see that it is made up of little sugar crystals, and these are what serve to scrub the lips. You can use your fingers, or, what I do is use my toothbrush, after brushing my teeth to rub a little of this across my lips, removing dead peeling skin, before applying a generous amount of lipbalm. Allowing the balm to sink in leaves me with smooth, supple, perfectly kissable lips (any one want a proper test, let me know ;-))

What do you use to give your lips a little extra care? What do you think of the Bubblegum Lip Scrub? Please do let me know below!
