The Tag of All Knowledge

Waffle-150x142So, this is my first tag post, as I’m second in the chain behind blogger and all round great gal Amy from Red Lips Red Hair, and don’t want to kill the tag before it even starts. Called the tag of all knowledge, I hope it gives you some insight into the deep dark corner that I call my mind. (And while you’re in there would you mind dusting a little?) Without further ado, lets get into the questions!

1. If you were a rock-star, what items would you demand on your rider?

I’m pretty laid back really, so this one is difficult. I suppose if I was being a total diva I’d demand white smarties (they haven’t been made in years) and Jelly Belly jelly beans. I love my jelly beans I do! Or lots of caramel and a spoon (and no cameras)

2. If you could afford any designer piece, be it clothing, shoes or accessories, what would it be and how would you style it? If you can, post a picture.

Well, being a bigger girl, designer clothes are a bit difficult for me, as they’re usually designed for people who are more like stick insects. Likewise with shoes, my feet are a bit big for designer ones there. It would have to be accessories, and if we are talking ANY piece, money no object (yeah, I wish) it would have to be some kind of vintage jewellery, such as this necklace, as modelled on the Oscars 2013 red carpet by Jennifer Garner:

Yes, they are diamonds. 200 carats of diamonds. The great thing is you can wear ANYTHING or NOTHING else with it, as lets be honest, all eyes are going to be on it! I would go with something slinky, either in black or a rich colour, like the purple it was paired with in her dress for the night. Nothing too over the top, as it’s just going to look too much!

3. What kind of a teenager were you? Goth? Princess? Nerdy?Β

I was a nerdy teenager, having taught myself the art of taking electronics apart and putting them back together again (usually still working, sometimes not). I was also in to public speaking and captained the school debating team on several occasions. I finished my debating career with a 100% record (7 debates – 7 losses, and I was the captain! Go me!)

4. This one is a bit morbid. If you could have any quote as your epitaph, what would it be and why?

β€œIn a hole in the ground there lived a Robyn. Not a nasty, dirty, wet hole, filled with the ends of worms and an oozy smell, nor yet a dry, bare, sandy hole with nothing in it to sit down on or to eat: it was a Robyn-hole, and that means comfort.” – JRR Tolkien

Yeah, I may be paraphrasing a little, but I’m a HUGE fan of Middle Earth, and if I had to rest in a hole in the ground, I’d want it modelled on a hobbit hole.

Alternatively, if it doesn’t fit on the headstone, we could go with this gem from Albus Dumbledore – “To the well organized mind, death is but the next great adventure”

Yeah, I’m a Potter fan too (the books mind you, not the movies)

5. What fictional character would you most like to have dinner with and why?

Another difficult question. Picking one it would have to be Jason Gideon from Criminal Minds. He’s so clever and brooding and I do have a bit of a crush on him. Otherwise it would be Liz Lemon. Do I really need to explain that one? It’s Liz Lemon, enough said :-)

6. Tell me about your first ever make-up purchase.

It’s so long ago I can’t even remember what it was, but I think it was a cheap nail polish from a pound shop. It really was awful, and chipped and peeled when you looked at it, but I felt so grown up with it. Obviously the nail polish thing is still a big thing for me.

7. It’s the year 2020, where do you hope to be in life?

Taoiseach, living on the moon, or at least on a Caribbean island! Honestly though, in 2020 I plan to be in a great job, living in an amazing home with someone gorgeous that I love and adore. Basically not where I am right now.

8. What is your drink order of choice when you go out?

That depends. On hot summer days (whatever they are) I love cold ciders with lots of ice. Otherwise where’s the cocktail list. Still looking for the perfect mojito.

9. We all have a “Dirty Sexy Crush”, so tell me: Who is yours?

My Dirty Sexy Crushes. Well, 3 come to mind, aside from Mandy Patinkin (Gideon). They would be Kirsten Vangsness, as I am in love with her quirky style as Penelope Garcia (I do love Criminal Minds), Tina Fey & Drew Barrymore (my ex girlfriend never understood that one). Yeah, I have a bit of a girl crush thing too.

Now, it says that I need to tag 5 bloggers whose answers I want to see. So, I hereby tag:

Kathleen from Squidgy Moments

Yaz from Glitter Mama Wishes

Paula from Cornflakegirl’s Musings

Sam from All The Buzz

Cat from Big Blonde Girl

I hope you’ve enjoyed this journey through the darker corners of my mind. If you haven’t run away from me yet, feel free to leave your thoughts, questions, or sarcastic comments below!

Editors note: Just in case you’re thinking “she’s lost it, putting up a picture of a waffle” the waffle is used for the thumbnail on the front page, where the post is just random waffle, and there’s no other picture to put up there. It’s all for a reason, usually πŸ˜‰
