Spotted: Gift With Purchase: L’oreal Nail It, Wing It Gloss It

L'oreal-thumbWhile browsing in Boots today (I was out, there was a Boots, and I had time to kill – don’t judge me) I noticed some interesting boxes on the display from L’Oreal – a gift with purchase, worth €36, when you spend €22 or more.

Seeing as I had been wanting the Tart Lollipop GlamShine Gloss from their new candy collection, it would have been a shame to pass on it.

L'oreal-box

I love the visuals on the box, especially the nails (I have a thing for lovely nails), but the box isn’t really important. The goodies in the box, however, are.

L'oreal-ProductsIncluded in the box are a GlamShine in Magnetic Nude Glow (Shade 407), a Superliner Luminizer Eye Liner in Black Diamond (suited to brown eyes, apparently) and 2 colour riche nail polishes, in Opulent Pink (Shade 211) and You are Worth It (Shade 617). There are also samples of BB cream and foundation, nail stencils (the standard moon shape ones for tips) and a tips leaflet (mainly images, but nice to look at).

So, swatches:

Black Diamond is a nice deep black with bronze/golden flecks in it, which, I suppose, is why it is suited to brown eyes. I do see my blue eyed self wearing this though, probably with a brown eye shadow to match it a little.

Magnetic Nude Glow is a golden bronze nude, which is packed with sparkle. i am not too sure about this one myself, as I prefer pinky nudes, but as part of the overall look it fits in quite nicely.

Opulent pink is a gorgeous rich pink, with maybe a little bit of raspberry in it. I could easily see myself wearing this time and time again. You are worth it (I thought the slogan was you’re worth it?) is, as the pic suggests, a cement grey, though there is a tiny bit of blue in it (to my eyes). I have always been a bit skeptical about grey polishes (this is my first) but I can actually see the appeal. While the pink is undoubtedly girly, the grey adds a bit of edge. I can totally understand why L’Oreal decided to put these together in saying you should do tips or stripes (using their included stencils) as they go really well together.

So, what do you think? Is it woth the €22 spend to pick it up. Anything jump out at you? Are you running out to pick this up RIGHT THIS INSTANT (it’s nearly midnight, y’know)?
